About

Late one night during a February storm, I stood under a carport covered in moss and decaying leaves with a lukewarm cup of coffee in hand. The rain was barely visible through the low hanging fog and the streetlamp less than fifty feet away was all but invisible. “Shit” I thought. “It’s time to get out”.

After leaving the Pacific Northwest for browner pastures, I found myself in Santa Fe, New Mexico. It was here that my romantic dreams of travelling the Southwest became a reality and I’ve taken every opportunity I could to do so. As with anything unexpected in life, I also stumbled across a gem in the rough–Kim, my now wife. With her companionship and love we are constantly on the search for the next adventure.

Here is our stories, photographs and videos. Being a neo-luddite myself, I shoot large format film (4×5) and a mix of 120 (6×6) and some digital formats. Together we hope we can show you slivers of our world that we care so deeply about.

  1. Hi,
A friend pointed me to your article at 35mmc and I was also happy to find your website. I’m always pleased to come across another film photography enthusiast. I facilitate a group called New Mexico Film Photographers. We have a Facebook group (https://www.facebook.com/groups/629506264496797/) and a Flickr group (https://www.flickr.com/groups/nm-film-photographers/). Our group met monthly up to a year ago when we had to go online and are now meeting that way twice monthly via Google Meet. The online meetings have actually enabled us to broaden the group’s membership to many areas around the state and to include people with a variety of experiences and interests in film photography. Let me know if you would be interested in the online meetings and I will put you on the mailing list.
